RJ Johnson is easily one of the top “hidden gems” in the state of GA. Having a monumental season, RJ is currently leading his Thomson team to an Elite 8 Appearance, with no signs of slowing down. Johnson was recently named to the All-Region 1st Team, after finishing the regular season averaging 19ppg and over 10 rebounds be game. He is one of the county leaders in rebounds, at 6’1. “Heart over height”, describes RJ perfectly. Johnson’s unique & unorthodox playing style is definitely being appreciated his senior season as he is leading Thomson High to one of the best seasons in school history.

RJ Johnson has a very high ceiling at the college level. He is not a player that needs the offense to run through him. Johnson is talented and creative enough to score in various way without needing to dominant the ball. He also brings excellent rebounding ability to the guard position, which leads to him running the break and finishing in transition. Most importantly, RJ is a tough hard-nosed competitor that always plays with maximum effort, never taking plays off. RJ Johnson will definitely add value to a collegiate roster and be a steal at the next level.
