Orvel Graham, Jr. is a member of the boy’s basketball program at Grayson High School in Grayson, Georgia. Despite playing in one of the toughest regions in the state of Georgia, the team finished the 2016-17 season with a record of 21-10, including a trip to the GHSA Class 7A Final Four. Orvel is a crafty point guard who has the ability to score off the dribble as well as creating scoring opportunities for his teammates. For the 2017 AAU season, he played for the EOTO program, leading the team to strong finishes in multiple tournaments. He was named to the all-tournament team at two of the Georgia Cup events. Orvel and his Grayson High School teammates are primed for another strong season in 2017-18.
Orvel should be a high priority recruit for any program looking for a skilled lead guard who can run a team, plays unselfishly, and understands what it takes to win basketball games. His biggest impact will be felt on the defensive side of the ball and in the locker room. He is a high character young man who will add value not only to the basketball program, but to the institution as a whole. Orvel plans to major in Business Management.
