Potential:

Abernathy will be an immediate impact player at the next level. After two JUCO seasons at Olive-Harvey (located on the south side of Chicago) under Head Coach Brandon Moore, Abernathy has that edge and toughness you can’t teach. There is no question if he has that “dog” in him. Marquez can also score at all three levels and is an excellent play maker. He loves creating easy scoring opportunities for his teammates. Abernathy is a floor general that can play either guard spot and has genuine leadership qualities that few have. At this point in his career, Abernathy is a seasoned veteran ready to make an impact at a four year school.
